If you haven’t seen this movie yet, then we recommend you to watch this cult classic of the actor at least once! This 2007 thriller film happens to revolve around a detective who gets trapped in lies, murder, and deceit.

The role of this detective, Satyaveer Randhawa was portrayed by the actor Abhay Deol. Apart from Abhay, various other prominent faces from the industry were seen in the movie including actors like Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Gul Panag, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, etc.

The acting skill of the actor in the movie makes this one worth a watch. 

Oye Lucky Lucky Oye

Well, this is certainly one of the most loved movies of the actor to date! A great film with a brilliant plot, characters, and most importantly, Abhay Deol. Abhay was entitled to play Sunny Arora, a “super-chor”, originally from Vikaspuri, Delhi.

The film revolves around the unique style of robberies conducted by the actor not for necessity but just out of the fun. Based upon the real-life story of Devinder Singh, this movie happens to be one of the brilliant performances of the actor. 


Tauba Tera Jalwa, Tauba Tera Pyaar, Tera emotional Atyachaar!! This 2009 black romantic comedy film was based upon a classic Bengali novel named Devdas.

This film could ideally be referred to as the modern version of Devdas and the performance of Abhay in the titular role as Devendra Singh/ Dev Dhillon in the film was truly loved by the audiences.

The film was divided into various segments which portrayed the story from each character’s point of view. The various characters, cast, and story plot of the movie was a complete package of entertainment and made Abhay gain fame as one of the offbeat actors of the industry. 

Road, movie

Featured at Toronto Film Festival, this 2009 Indian road movie revolves around a restless man, who eagerly tries and wishes to escape his father’s faltering hair oil business.

The main protagonist of Vishnu in the movie was played by the actor Abhay Deol. Made on a budget of 8 crores, this film was not able to gross much at the box office and was declared as a disaster by the box office.

However, the performance of the actor in the film was truly worth praise and remains one of his offbeat performances in the movies.

Though there were various renowned actors in the movie, the performance of Abhay Deol as T. A. Krishnan, a senior IAS official was truly loved by the audiences making him one of the offbeat actors of the industry.
