Mahesh Babu’s recent comment has kicked up a storm leading to strong reactions from industry peers. Industry biggies like Kangana Ranaut, Sunil Shetty, Ram Gopal Verma and many others have shared their views on the South star’s statement. While a portion of social media has taken a dig at the actor there are many who have backed Mahesh Babu in the ongoing controversy.
Now, Soham has shared that he has huge respect for Mahesh Babu after all he has done for South Indian cinema, especially Telugu film industry. “I think what he wanted to say is why one should leave his own film industry when he’s doing great there. I have read the clarification he gave after the controversy. It’s clear that he just wanted to speak for Telugu cinema’s growth in last ten years or so. He has utmost respect for every Indian language. Actors like Mahesh Babu have worked so hard for the betterment of Telugu film industry and after years of hard work they are currently enjoying this status, even leaving behind the Tamil industry. Also, we have to admit that the monopoly Bollywood used to enjoy once is not there anymore. In the last two years, the thin line between several regional industries has been blurred,” explained the actor.
Soham further added that celebrity comments are often blown out of proportion and this has happened so many times in the past.
Meanwhile, Soham’s recent release ‘Kolkatar Harry’ which sees the actor opposite Priyanka Sarkar has received mixed reviews from the audience and critics alike so far. Up next for the actor is Arjunn Dutta’s ‘Shrimati’ which is releasing soon. The film has Swastika Mukherjee opposite Soham.
