Tollywood actor backs Kamal Haasan amid the ‘Vikram’ song controversy | Bengali Movie News

Must read

Legendary actor Kamal Haasan is all geared up for his next ‘Vikram’ and the film is creating all the right noises before its release, except for one recent controversy. Within hours of the release of the action entertainer’s first song ‘Pathala Pathala’, it courted controversy because of the use of one certain word ‘Ondriyam’.

Like his many fans who have backed Kamal Haasan after the recent controversy Tollywood actor Soham who’s a huge admirer of the iconic actor also extended his support. The actor-politician said that it’s an unnecessary controversy ahead of such a huge film’s release. “I think you can’t criticize a film just because of one song and that, too, when the film is yet to release. People should watch the film first before criticizing a celebrated actor like Kamal Haasan. I am a big fan of him and have seen almost all his films over the years and took inspiration as well. Kamal Haasan’s commitment and dedication are a lesson to all,” shared Soham adding that he’s eagerly waiting to see ‘Vikram’ in theatres.

Incidentally, many claimed the word ‘Ondriyam’ in the song ‘Pathala Pathala’ has been used to target the Union government.

Vikram is a high-octane action-thriller featuring Kamal Haasan in the lead. The film also has Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil alongside Kalidas Jayaram, Narain, Antony Varghese and Arjun Das in pivotal roles. Suriya will also be seen in a cameo in this film, set to release on June 3.

Meanwhile, Soham was last seen in ‘Kolkatar Harry’ co-starring Priyanka Sarkar which released earlier this month. Although it came up with a convincing subject of children’s fantasy the social drama failed to attract the audience.
