Earlier, the Knight Riders were in a spot of bother losing half their side for just 94 in 11.3 overs before Russell’s counter-attacking knock took his side to a competitive 177/6 in their allotted 20 overs.
Russell, along with Sam Billings, added 63 runs for the sixth wicket to stabilise the innings. The Caribbean giant smashed an unbeaten 49 runs off 28 deliveries with the help of seven boundaries, including four sixes. Similarly, Billings scored a crucial 34 off 29 balls, including three fours and a six.

In high pressure matches we may see teams batting first. Chasing is getting a bit tougher. Bad loss for SRH as their NRR is negative. Big next week coming up.
