Oman’s natural gas production up 2.3 percent

The total domestic production of natural gas by the end of June 2023 was 26.19 billion cubic metres, a growth of 2.3 per cent as compared to the same period in 2022 when the total volume was 25.60 billion cubic metres.

Figures released by the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI) and published by the Times of Oman show that industrial projects accounted for 58.7 per cent of the 15.39 billion cubic meters of natural gas used in the Sultanate of Oman by the end of June 2023. ,

The total use of natural gas was 6.76 billion cubic meters for oil fields, 3.89 billion cubic meters for power plants and 131.50 million cubic meters for industrial sectors.

Non-linked production of natural gas, including imports, was 20.89 billion cubic metres, while tied production of natural gas was 5.30 billion cubic metres.
