Zomato and Swiggy: The year 2024 has made a great start. It was warmly welcomed all over the world. People had a lot of parties. Orders equivalent to 6 years delivered on last day of 2023
Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal wrote on social media that the food delivery platform delivered a large number of orders on the last evening of 2023. This figure is equal to the orders placed on New Year’s Eve in 6 years from 2015 to 2020. He wrote in his tweet that 8422 orders were placed at 8.06 pm. This figure works out to 140 orders per second. Maximum orders were placed from Maharashtra. A customer from Kolkata ordered 125 items in a single order. He wrote in another tweet that we have broken the record of orders in one day. Thank you all.

Blinkit broke many records
Blinkit’s co-founder and CEO Albinder Dhindsa wrote on social media platform X that we have made a new record of orders in a day and orders per minute. Apart from this, the record of maximum number of soft drinks, tonic water, chips and tips received by our delivery associates in a day has also been broken. It doesn’t seem to be decreasing at the moment. Thank you India.

Swiggy Food and Instamart also kept making unique records
Swiggy CEO Rohit Kapoor tweeted that many records have been broken on Swiggy Food and Instamart in the New Year 2024. Swiggy Instamart had the highest number of orders per minute. It also broke the record of orders placed in the Cricket World Cup final. Due to parties happening across the country, sales of tonic water, cocktail mixers and glasses increased 10 times on Instamart.
