Income Tax Department: Recently the Income Tax Department has sent some information to the taxpayers regarding some transactions, regarding which the Income Tax Department has given clarification through a post on social media. The tax department clarified that it is not a notice sent to the taxpayers but an advisory which has been sent in those cases in which the disclosures made by the taxpayers in the income tax return do not match with the information provided by the reporting entity. Is.

The Income Tax Department told the taxpayers, this is a facility provided to the communication taxpayers. The information available with the Income Tax Department regarding the transactions done by the taxpayers is being made available to them which the reporting units have provided to the Tax Department regarding these transactions during the financial year.

The tax department said, the purpose of these communications is to provide an opportunity to the taxpayers and facilitate them to provide their feedback online on the compliance portal of the Income Tax Department. And if necessary, make corrections in your already filed income tax return and revise it again and if the income tax return has not been filed yet, then file ITR immediately.

The Income Tax Department has been asked to respond to the advisories sent by taxpayers on priority. The last date for filing revised or belated returns for assessment year 2023-24 is 31 December 2023.
