In a report of Money Life, RTI It has been quoted that only 0.27 percent of the claims have been paid through the portal so far. Sahara investors have so far submitted claims worth Rs 82,695.51 crore through the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies i.e. CRCS portal. Of these, only Rs 228.77 crore has been paid.

The portal was launched in July

This situation is when it has been almost 6 months since the launch of the Sahara Refund Portal. Are. Union Home Minister Amit Shah had launched the Sahara Refund Portal on July 18 last year to return the money of Sahara investors. Currently, investors of Sahara’s cooperative societies – Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Limited, Saharan Universal Multipurpose Society Limited, Hamara India Credit Cooperative Society Limited and Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited – can claim refund through the portal. h3>So many investors registered on the portal

According to the report, RTI activist Akash Goyal had sought answers under the Right to Information Act to get information in this regard. In response to the questions asked in RTI, it was told that till now 1,60,38,266 investors have registered on CRCS portal i.e. Sahara Refund Portal. Registered investors have made a total of 3,41,15,418 refund claims so far. These claims were for a total of Rs 82,695.51 crore, out of which only Rs 228.77 crore has been paid to the investors making claims.

So many claims have been paid after resubmission

Found in RTI According to the information, 52,113 claims have been resubmitted through CRCS refund portal. Their total value is Rs 52.19 crore. Of these, only Rs 3.13 crore has been paid. This means that about 6 percent of the resubmitted claims have been paid.

The government has given this assurance

After the death of Sahara’s Subrata Roy recently, the government has assured the investors. Had assured that every penny of his money would be returned to all the investors. The government had told in Parliament that small claims are still being settled. Soon the government will go to the Supreme Court to release additional funds.
