Social media ‘influencer’ Uorfi Javed detained in Dubai over ‘inappropriate outfit’

Known for her unconventional fashion choices, Uorfi Javed, the popular Instagram star and former BiggBoss contestant has landed in trouble as per reports. Uorfi Javed who was on a work trip to Dubai was reportedly detained. 

Uorfi, dressed in a ‘revealing outfit’ was shooting a video in a public place, which is restricted in Dubai. 

As per an India Today report, Uorfi is being questioned by the authorities over wearing a revealing outfit during the shoot. So far neither authorities in Dubai nor Uorfi have commented on the matter. 

A Times of India (TOI) report quoted a source as saying, “She (Uorfi) had shot a video for her Instagram in an outfit she designed, which was ‘revealing’ according to the people here in Dubai. The fact that there is no issue with the outfit, but the location where she shot the video was an open area, and they do not consider it appropriate to wear what she wore. The police are questioning her. Let’s see what happens.”

Uorfi diagnosed with Laryngitis and Tonsillitis

Meanwhile, Uorfi Javed was diagnosed with laryngitis in Dubai earlier today, according to reports. The actress confirmed this in a video posted to her Instagram stories, saying, “This doctor finally diagnosed me with laryngitis and tonsillitis.”

Case filed against Uorfi in Mumbai

Recently, a case was filed against Uorfi for allegedly committing illegal and obscene acts on social media and public places. Advocate Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh filed the complaint at Andheri Police Station against the actor. As per the police official, the complaint was filed on Friday, December 9. 

Uorfi Javed was named as one of the “Most Searched Asians on Google 2022,” according to a recently published list. Uorfi was ranked 43rd on the list, trailing many well-known Bollywood actresses. Uorfi was recently seen in MTV’s dating reality show ‘Splitsvilla 14’.
