UP CM Yogi Adityanath Reveals Opposition’s Shift in Stance on Ram – A Significant Turn of Events

This comes as several opposition leaders alleged the BJP of politicising the inauguration of Ram Mandir temple in Ayodhya.

Ayodhya: In a prelude to the much-anticipated inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took a swipe at the Opposition, stating, “Opposition forced to change its stance on Ram.”

He further claimed that “those who were against it are now chanting Ram’s name.” 

This comes as several opposition leaders alleged the BJP of politicising the inauguration of Ram Mandir temple in Ayodhya, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday said that his government and his party are in full support of Ram Mandir. 

“We are not against the issue of Ayodhya Ram Mandir, we are not against building a temple either, we are not against Ram Mandir, we are in favour of Ram Mandir,” said Siddaramaiah on Sunday.

Ram temple inauguration in Ayodhya – Historic event 

Devotees from across the country are flocking to Ayodhya to witness the historic event, as the temple complex nears completion. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, however, urged the public to refrain from visiting on the inauguration day, saying, “As bhakts, we would not like to cause any problems to Lord Ram. You all can come starting January 23 till eternity. Ram Mandir is now there forever and ever.”  

During the airport inauguration in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the importance of “vikas” (development) and “virasat” (heritage) for the country’s progress. 

He also encouraged every Indian to light a diya in their homes on January 22, marking the significance of the historic occasion.
