Especially FMCG and hospitality companies are seeing a big opportunity in this.

Opportunities for hospitality sector

In fact, the Ram temple being built in Ayodhya is going to be one of the most important religious centers and pilgrimage centers of the country. Crores of people have faith in the Ram Janmabhoomi temple and the wait for the construction of this temple has been going on for many generations. In such a situation, Ayodhya is going to become a big center of religious tourism and pilgrimage in the future. This will create a religion-based economy at the local level, which will provide employment opportunities to lakhs of people. This change is also creating opportunities for FMCG companies and the hospitality sector. For the large number of tourists coming, there will be a need for hotels and restaurants in the same proportion and the consumption of different types of products will also increase.

Tourist inflow can increase in this way

Experts believe that with the completion of Ram temple, tourism in Ayodhya can increase by 8-10 times. This will increase the floating population i.e. temporary population in the city. There is a clear indication of this from various figures. Hospitality company Oyo had recently told that Ram Mandir Even before the inauguration, a 70-80 percent increase is being seen in hotel bookings. According to the data of Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department, the number of tourists visiting Ayodhya in the year 2021 was only 3.25 lakh, which increased 85 times to 2.39 crore in 2022. Now when the temple is ready, it will increase by 8-10 times, so every year an estimated 20-25 crore tourists can come to Ayodhya. This figure makes Ayodhya one of the busiest tourist attractions in the world.

These big companies intensified their preparations

An ET report suggests that companies are understanding this very well and have intensified their preparations. According to the report, mineral water company Bisleri International is setting up a new plant in Ayodhya. The company expects that the demand for bottled water, soft drinks, snacks, grocery etc. may increase in Ayodhya in the coming days. Parle Products, a company manufacturing biscuits and other FMCG products, is expanding its distribution network in Ayodhya and surrounding areas. McDonald’s is opening a new outlet on Ayodhya-Lucknow Highway. Burger Singh outlet has already started.
