Ranchi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has intensified its scrutiny of Himant Soren, with an ongoing search operation underway in Ranchi. Focused primarily on the third floor of the Rospa Tower in Ranchi, this property is associated with Binod Kumar Singh, a close confidant of CM Hemant Soren and a professional architect. Starting from raids at Hemant Soren press advisor’s residence along with his several of associates, an extensive search operation has gripped Ranchi since Wednesday. The raids are connected to alleged monetary irregularities concerning land transactions and the use of false documents.

During the search at Binod Kumar Singh’s residence, the ED reportedly seized Rs 25 lakh in cash and numerous property documents. Subsequently, the ED sealed the Rospa Tower office last night. Today, a team from the ED commenced a thorough search of the Rospa Tower office in the presence of Binod Kumar Singh, who was summoned by the ED to be present during the search operation. The raids carried out by ED officials now underway and more details are awaited.

ED issues summons to Hemant Soren

This development copmes after the Enforcement Directorate issued the seventh summon to Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on December 29 for questioning in connection with an alleged land scam. Two days after the deadline given by the probe agency to appear, CM Soren sent his reply to the Enforcement Directorate. In his response as per sources, Hemant Soren alleged that the agency was conducting a ‘biased’ investigation to malign his image.
