How is situation in Nuh now?

There is still tension in Haryana’s Nuh. On Monday, the Punjab and Haryana High Court, taking suo motu cognizance, stayed the ongoing bulldozer action in Nuh after the violence. Now the news is that a delegation of Haryana Congress leaders will go to Ground Zero on Tuesday to take stock of the latest situation in Nuh.

According to information provided by the Haryana Congress, a delegation of senior party leaders led by Haryana Congress President Chaudhary Udaybhan will visit Nuh on August 8 to meet the violence-affected victims and people of the area. Former Haryana CM and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda will also be present in this delegation.

Nuh SP Narendra Bijarnia told on Monday that there are seven blocks in the districts and today we held the last meeting in the last district. Meetings had already taken place in the rest of the other blocks. We are also monitoring social media and taking action… Till now a total of 56 FIRs have been registered, and more than 150 have been arrested. The investigation is still on.

A committee formed after a ‘maha panchayat’ at Tigra village in Haryana’s Gurugram, on Monday demanded the setting up of an SIT for an ‘impartial probe’ into the killing of Imam, claiming that some youths of the village were ‘sacrificed’ over the attack. Ka Bakra’ has been made. In a memorandum to the police commissioner and deputy commissioner, the committee has also demanded an inquiry into the “reasons” for the attack on the mosque last week.

At least four people from the village have been arrested after a mob attacked the Anjuman Masjid in Sector 57 in Gurugram in the early hours of August 1. The incident took place in Gurugram hours after Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s ‘Jalabhishek Yatra’ was attacked in Nuh district. The maha panchayat was organized to protest against the arrests.
