Indian police arrest sex worker racket

Hazratganj police station has busted a sex racket that forcibly conducted the sex trade. The police have arrested four members of the Mafia. The accused have been identified as Rohit Gupta (32), resident of Lalbagh Khandari Bazar, Sudhanshu alias Veeru (30), resident of Ayodhya Raiganj Colony, Deepu Dwivedi (23), resident of Sarwan, Gonda and Siddu alias Siddha Prakash (23), resident of Sadhana Osmanganj, Sitapur.

Hazratganj in charge Inspector Akhilesh Chandra Mishra said that the girl (22), a resident of Kolkata, West Bengal, had lodged an FIR in the case. The girl had alleged that she had come to Lucknow a few days back to do a beautician course and was taking training from a beauty parlour.

During this, he met the four accused. The accused forced her to do prostitution by trapping her in their trap and giving her an injection of drugs. Inspector Akhilesh said that after registering the FIR, all the allegations were found correct in the investigation. After this, all the four accused were arrested.

Inspector Akhilesh said that when the police reached to arrest the accused, they had already got a clue about it. Therefore, the accused have already deleted the CCTV records of their houses and parlours. In this regard, a separate criminal case has been registered against the accused under section 201 of the IPC for the destruction of evidence.
